Mona Vie Active
Mona Vie is
without a doubt the largest bottler of acai juice, although
there is a lot of speculation about how much actual juice from
acai is in each bottle.
Since
this network marketing
company flooded the United
States (and since then, 20+ other countries) in early 2006,
there have been many thousands of over-eager fans claiming the
product cured their particular disease.
Naturally,
with all that attention, Mona Vie has recieved more than it's
fair share of lawsuits
against the company too. Despite all the recent bad press, they
do make a very tasty, if overpriced, product that we wouldn't
feel right to leave out of our reviews.
The
Active line, our favorite of the three,
features a
well-considered Acai berry juice blend with 18
other super-healthy fruits. The Mona Vie product line
includes two other types of juice, both variations of the same 18 fruit
juice blends. They all come in stylish glass bottles, and
also in 1-ounce gel
packs.

Can I Buy Mona Vie Active in Stores?
Not
usually. The Mona Vie company only wants these things sold
person to person, where they make money off of memberships, not
product. (Ok both, to tell the truth.) However, some real fans
who are members and happen to own stores and health clubs have
been spotted selling to their members with little to no markup
of price.
To find some Mona Vie, I suggest YouTube...
Surely you can even find a dozen or so MV distributors in
your own city through youtube that would be oh-so-happy
to let you try a bottle today.
What does a bottle of Mona Vie Active
Cost?
The retail
price for a 25.35 Ounce (3/4 liter) bottle of Mona Vie is just
under $40. Fortunately, if you choose to be a regular customer
you can get a 10% dicount for ongoing orders, and better yet,
if you join Mona Vie as a distributor for a one-time $39 fee,
you'll get almost half off each and every bottle you order.
(Just don't let them fool you that you'll get rich through
their distributorship program... You won't.)
That's still pretty expensive though; Why
is Mona Vie so popular?
Mona Vie products have had more media
attention than all other Acai berry products due to their
extreme apparent health benefit, great publicity campaign, and
having published the highest of all ORAC scores. None of their
competitors put on such a great show of parading scientists
past you to persuade you that this stuff is basically a
fountain of youth in a bottle.

We're not saying that they
lie or are unscroupulous in any way. THe truth
is that it's their overzealous (to make money)
distributors that are causing harm and inciting
all the lawsuits when they make claims like how
it cured their cancer.
Mona Vie itself is just
a fruit juice blend, and nothing more. However,
I must add that it is a unique, proprietary
blend of 19 "super fruits" and they do
seem to make Mona Vie taste unique and unlike
any other Acai berry product out
there.

What is Mona Vie Active's ORAC value?
Since Mona Vie's patended flash-freezing
process claims that it is the only one to lock in 1,027 of ORAC
per gram, they are more than happy to tell you about it on all
of their marketing literature. They even take it a step further
to combine that flash-frozen powder with whole berries (seed
& all) so that you get all of the Omega 3, 6, & 9s that
were lost to freezing. (Many other Acai berry juices don't do
that part... It's not easy to chop the seeds up that fine!)
What is ABP's affiliation with Mona Vie?
Are you really a distributor in disguise?
Nope. Not at all. We sell absoutlutely
nothing here, but we are sometimes mona vie customers. You
won't find any links to Mona Vie products on this site. (Unless
they offer coupons one day, which I highly
doubt.)
What's the difference bettween Mona Vie
Active and Mona Vie Original?
Active, with the green cap, is
the middle product line with added glucosamine and some
esterified fatty acids to help more active lifestyles. It's a
few bucks more expensive but I believe that I can feel the
difference between the two after a couple of doses, and I feel
the active is better for me and my lifestyle.
You'll have to be the judge if you need the
extra glucosamine, or want more of the pure berries.
NOTE: We are not a third party vendor
for MonaVie products, we are not affliated with MonaVie and we
do not sell MonaVie Active or any MonaVie products. This
article is a review of the MonaVie Active product
only.
